You have no idea how happy I was when I finally encountered this fresh, real pasta in town.
My teacher Brian took me, Margot and Charles to this amazing venue called Bencotto- Italian Kitchen.
I believe I know what the good food is. I am from a city where people enjoy all the authentic food from around the world. My mom wasn't a typical mom that cooks the traditional, ethnic food. Also, I have traveled around the world and tying new food is obviously fun things to do.
Bencotto in Little Italy is the place I will definately keep going back. I love the settings, comfortable indirect lightings, and great hospitality.
Gnocco Fritto- lightly fried puffed pasta dough
Great appetizer.
Another great thing about Bencotto is you can choose your favorite pasta and sauce only for $12!
My pasta: Gnocci with Pesto Sauce, which was the waiter guy's recommendation. Man, he made my day!!
Margo's choice: Large Macaroni with Salmone Affumicato e Panna- Smoked Salmon and Cream.
Brian's choice: Squid Ink Pasta with Bencotto- Pink Spicy Pancetta Sauce (I guess)
Charles' choice: Ravioli di Magro with Bolognese- Traditional Tomato Sauce (I guess)

It was a wonderful night. Brian is a marketing guy that handles all the European languages. He knows all the cool stuff in and out of town. Brian writes about Bencotto on StyleXplorers.
Margo is a girl from New York. I like how she dresses. She has her own style.
Charles is a French guy. According to him, the best French food in town he had was at Ivy Hotel! Interesting. Hmm, I should go try sometime...!
