December Nights is an annual free event in this time of the year. Happening in Balboa Park, lots of food vendors including international food at the International House, music, dance and lights. Some museums will be open free that day.

I really hoped to take more photos of people dancing and yummy food, but the battery was dead. These pictures merely show the fun, holiday spirit of the event. The best way is to actually go visit and try it, highly recommended!
We parked near the City College, on the 16th and between B and C st. From there you can walk 1/2 mile and you will be at the venue. Not a long walk at all. It is fun to walk the bridge over I-5.
December Nights is happening on the 1st Friday & Saturday of December most of the time. From 3pm to 11pm. You cannot park in the Balboa Park parking lot, do not get close to the Park by car on that period. 163 is not recommended either. There is a free shuttle operated from Petco Park's parking lot and City College parking lot.
